Rhinoplasty is done in a day-clinic and usually under general anesthesia. In most cases, it takes about 1.5 to two hours and you will go home 6 hours after surgery. There is a cast on your nose and usually no pack inside it. The cast, sitches and possible inside splint will be removed on 6th  or 7th post-op day .There may be some bruising around nose and eyes which fades from 4th day after surgery but the swelling may last a little more specially in thick skin noses .Avoid bending, lifting or strenuous activity for three weeks. Once you return to regular exercise, ease into it by gradually increasing your activity level. It takes about two months for the nasal bones to fully heal, so contact and semi-contact sports should be avoided for at least six months. Swimming is allowed after six weeks . It usually takes six months to a full year before you’re able to evaluate the final results following rhinoplasty. However, after three month, most patients are approaching it, with about 90% of their final result. Do not hesitate to our office if you have any questions or concerns arise during your recovery
